How to Sell Back Your Textbooks

If your university is anything like mine, they do a great job of ripping you off when it comes to selling back text books! You spend $500 and at the end of the semester get back maybe (if you are lucky) $100. Well I wish someone showed me the ropes when I was a freshman, but now that I am in my second semester of my junior year, I have figured out the tricks...
(1) DO NOT buy your texts books from your school without looking first on amazon. Acquire your book list and use the ISBN number on the back of your text book (should be right near the barcode) and type those numbers directly into amazon. Amazon is almost always the cheapest. You can try other book selling sites, but amazon usually comes out on top and is one of the most trusting.
(2) if you can't find your book online, you'll have to go to your bookstore and buy it
(3) when you get your text books, WRITE IN THE FRONT COVER how much you paid. That way you can make a better judgement on how much to sell it for at the end of the semester.
(4) NEVER sell your books back to your school... sell them yourself on amazon. Go to amazon, type in the ISBN, click on your book. On the right side of the screen there will be a link asking if you want to 'sell this book?". Click on that, register as a new seller, enter in your banking info and volia! Check your email every day until you get a buyer! You'll have to send the book out yourself, but that's okay, amazon reimburses you for that.

And that's how it done. You'll save hundreds doing it this way. It takes a little work, but worth it.
