All Day Studying...
Woke up at 8... studied all day... ALL day
went into the testing center at 7:10 got out at 9:20. ugh

But something fun happened while i was outside the testing center reviewing... i heard the super mario music playing (for the ghost castle levels) as i looked around to see what was going on, there was 10 kids dressed as mario ghosts and they were following kids as they were walking into the testing center. but when they would turn around, the ghosts would stop... just like in the game! it was fun. made my day.

Wash Your Hands!
Of course we know that washing our hands is important... especially in the fall when the flu bug is all over.
Last week in microbio lab we did a lab where we would run our hands across agar in a petri dish.. the first time without washing them and then the second time with our hands being washed. Take a look at what grew
Last week in microbio lab we did a lab where we would run our hands across agar in a petri dish.. the first time without washing them and then the second time with our hands being washed. Take a look at what grew
on the left is without washing and the right is after washing.... even after scrubbing for 30 seconds, microbes still were able to grow!
Moral of the story, wash your hands.... always.
Trapped at the mental hospital
There is only one way in and one way out of the mental hospital and guess what... the exit was closed.
I dragged anna out of the house to go watch two boys in our ward play hockey.... it should only take 5 minutes, the ice arena is literally walking distance, and yet, i got lost. we ended up driving into the mental hospital campus... after seeing deer roaming and and signs saying "children psych ward" I realized i had made a wrong turn. I tried turning around but the exit was blocked off!!
There was a security guard parked near the blocked off entrance, we asked him for help and he told us to just drive around the loop....
We did, ended up back at the same blocked off entrance.... there was a car in front of us and i watched as it drove the wrong way on the road to get out. being such a good driver, i didn't want to break the law, so anna and i decided that would drive around one more time. Again, we ended up at the same blocked off entrance!
'just do it' anna said. so, i did! haha as i was flying through the entrance round-about the wrong way, we saw our security guard friend had pulled over that car that was driving before us!
but it was the only way out... we had to break the law. i am such a rebel

Caught in a lie!
Saturday was another BYU football game... and this time, it was raining. My roommate and I decided that we would wait it out for a bit and then head over. By the time we got there, I was not feeling good... 'Aunt Flow' had shown up and she was demanding all my attention. So by half time I decided that I was going to go home.
After taking a long bath and lots of advil i get a text message from a boy who i had taken me out last week asking me how im doing...
"hey you, how'd the midterm go? how's the game"
"90% whooo! Game is good we are winning"
"Congrats!!! Did you get wet?! you wanna grab some food later on?"
"I actully left the game shortly after you texted me because I felt sick. I've been in bed ever since"
"uh oh... like tired, cold, flu what?!"
"hopefully just that 24 hour flu... it sucks. I haven't gotten sick in so long."

"No bureno... i'm sorry, we won though :)
Finally I had gotten myself to calm down and fall asleep. A few hours later I decided to go for a run because the weather was so nice (kinda raining, so beautiful with all the leaves... plus im training for a 10k and i needed to get out there)
as im coming back up to my apt, i see him coming out of my apt.... i had a hat on, and he did a double take (i should have run away and hid) and then he came up to me and said "what are you doing?? i thought you were sick!"
i told him i was feeling better... but i doubt he believed me. it was awkward... i felt bad, and SO embarrassed... especially when i came inside and saw that he had dropped off two cans of soup, a box of saltines, powerade and a 7up!!!!
wish i told him in the first place that i was on my period... maybe then he would have brought me chocolate lol
